Who We Are

LymmCo operates the SpoonWrap waitlist at lymmco.com. For the purposes of this policy, "LymmCo," "we," "us," and "our" refer to LymmCo, 40315 Michigan Ave #566, Canton, MI 48188, United States.

What We Collect & Why

We collect only what is necessary to operate the SpoonWrap waitlist:

  • Email address — provided voluntarily when you join the waitlist. Used solely to notify you when SpoonWrap becomes available.
  • Signup timestamp — the date and time your email was submitted, recorded automatically for record-keeping.
  • Country of residence — if you complete our optional interest survey, used to understand our customer base.

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any government ID.

How Your Data Is Stored

Waitlist signups are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to LymmCo staff, processed via Google Apps Script (a Google service). Google's servers are located in the United States. Google LLC acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by Google's Data Processing Addendum.

Our website is hosted by Shopify Inc. (151 O'Connor St, Ottawa, ON K2P 2L8, Canada). Shopify may process certain technical data (IP address, browser type, session data) as part of serving the website. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses:

  • Shopify session cookies — strictly necessary for the site to function (e.g., security tokens, cart state). These cannot be opted out of without leaving the site.
  • Shopify analytics cookies — used by Shopify to generate aggregate traffic statistics. No personal profile is built from these.
  • Browser localStorage — we store a cached copy of the public waitlist counter number in your browser's localStorage. This contains no personal data and is used only so the counter appears instantly on return visits.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Legal Basis for Processing GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — when you voluntarily submit your email to join the waitlist, you consent to us storing and using it to contact you about SpoonWrap. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for basic website security and fraud prevention via Shopify's session handling.

Your Rights GDPR

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU)

International Data Transfers GDPR

LymmCo is based in the United States. By submitting your email, you acknowledge that your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on Google's and Shopify's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the transfer mechanism for EU/UK personal data.

Your Rights CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a CCPA request, email hello@lymmco.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.

Data Retention

We retain your email address until SpoonWrap launches and we have notified you, or until you request removal — whichever comes first. After notification, we will delete waitlist data within 90 days unless you opt into ongoing marketing communications.

Children

Our site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify waitlist members by email.
